"Discover" pour 2Crafty

Hello 2Crafty fans!

This week was a very special one for my son Liam and us as his parents. Our boy is graduating, going to high school next september! The last few months of school were very strange given the weird times we're going through in 2020. He really missed seeing his friends and teachers in person, but they kept contact daily with video calls. As a mom, I'm so happy and proud of him, but also a bit sad that my first baby boy is turning the page on a great chapter of his life, starting an even better one.

"Discover"

 

On the "Star Badges", I applied a coat of metallic red paint and a teal embossing ink on top. 

 

For the "Checkboard Panel", I applied a coat of midnight-teal embossing powder, then a coat of midnight-bronze embossing powder and finally another coat of midnight-teal embossing powder. This gives a graduated color effect.

For the "Mini Title Stick Set 1", I simply inked the top to let the "life is good" title show through with its original chipboard color.

On the "Frames Circle Borders", I used teal ink and traced the borders with black ink. For the title, "discover", I applied two coats of red-bronze embossing powder.

"Remember" pour 2Crafty

Hello 2Crafty fans!

It's going to be our first summer since our new furry friend joined our family and he's already having a blast spending more time outside than he could during the cold winter months. He just loves sleeping in the shade and playing with the kids, especially when they're playing with water! Yesterday I took a picture of him after my daughter splashed him and it was just perfect for a new layout.

"Remember"

On the Dianne's doily set, I applied a coat of a red acrylic paint and used a flowerish stamp with some sandy embossing powder. 

On the palm set leaves, I used watercolor paint. I mixed a bit of blue and lime colors to get the shader I was looking for. On the intricate sea horses, I used blue embossing ink and added some pearl embossing powder on top of it.

For my title, I applied a sandy black embossing powder very roughly, so we can see the grain of the chipboard.

"Beautiful" pour 2Crafty

Hello 2Crafty friends!

Hope you're doing well! I'm back with my second layout reveal for May, featuring my sweet daughter Mila. Over the past few months of lockdown, we had the chance to spend a lot of amazing time together and I took a nice picture capturing her latest attitude.

"Beautiful"

On the "Foliage Set 6", I applied two coats of green metallic paint. For the "Freda's Butterflies", I used my finger to dab teal wax, then used my heat gun to alter the finish.

For the "Fairy Set 1", I used rose-gold embossing enamel and inked the borders in black. For the title, "Beautiful Loopy Font", I used midnight-teal embossing powder.

"Perfect as you are" pour 2Crafty

 Hello 2Crafty Fans!

I hope you're all safe and doing fine in these special times. On my side I've been homeschooling my son and daughter for a few weeks now and we're having a pretty good time doing so. They're keeping contact with their friends with daily video calls and so far we're still all in a good mood! 

Today, I'm presenting a layout I made featuring my son, who has grown so much in the past few months since the lockdown begin here. He's really turning into a sweet teenager (ifa bit stubborn!).

"Perfect as you are"

On the "Corner Crackle", I applied two coats of green/jade metallic paint. For the "Steampunk Cog Frame", I applied silver embossing powder then a bit of black embossing ink on top.

I left the "hansome lad" chipboard from the "Mini Title Stick Set 1" to its original appearance, as I found it was a good fit for the colour theme I was going for.

For the title, "Perfect as you are", I used a sandy black embossing powder.

"Delight in every moments" pour 2Crafty

Hello 2Crafty fans!

Today I was inspired by the lovely spring weather here in Quebec to create a fresh spring-themed layout featuring my husband and I. It's still a bit cold outside, and we have had a lot of rain so far this season, so we're taking every chance we have to enjoy the sun!

"Delight in Every Moment"

 

For the "Frame Celia's Flourish", I used some white and green embossing enamel.

On the "Leafy branch border", I applied rose-gold wax. For the "Foliage Set 8", I used two coats of green metallic paint, then inked the borders in black.

On the title, "Delight in Every Moment", I first applied some rose-gold paint. Then, I applied some black embossing ink so the paint layer would show through just a tiny little bit.

"Grateful" pour 2Crafty

Hello 2Crafty fans!

I hope everybody is well and holding up in these very special times. On my side, my family and I are adjusting alright and we do consider ourselves lucky to be together and healthy. We're taking plenty of time to learn new crafts, discover new hobbies and realize lots of experiments with our kids. It's also our very first homeschooling experiment and they seem to enjoy it so far.

Today, I'm presenting you a layout I made this week after we went outside on a sunny day for a bit of exercise (we're allowed to go outside for exercise as long as we stay at least 2m from people living outside our home). 

I've also prepared a video to show the various techniques I used to prepare the elements in my layout:

"Grateful"

For the "6" Mandala 1", I applied a coat of black gesso then used my finger to apply a purple wax. Then I used an embossing tool to dry it.

With the "Leafy Silhouettes", I used a teal metallic paint and traced the borders with black ink.

On the "Lace Heart Frame", I used a black sandy embossing powder and then dabbed some yellow embossing ink on top.

For the title, "Grateful script", I used metallic red paint.

Once Upon a dream

Hello 2Crafty fans!

I hope you're doing well! On our side, spring time has officially started here in Quebec and snow is finally melting away and we're starting to enjoy a bit of warmth. Things took an unexpected turn for us a few days ago when everything shut down due to the pandemic and everybody being asked to stay home. But we're making the most of it, spending some quality family time together. It also means I have a bit more time for crafts!!!

"Once Upon a Dream"

On the "Ornate Heart Set", I applied some shimmering rose gold paint. Then I dabbed a pink ink on top.

For the "Scroll 3", I used burgundy embossing powder, then applied a bit of copper embossing ink on top. Finally, I've added just a tiny bit of white embossing ink.

For the title, "Once Upon a Dream", I applied copper-pink embossing enamel.
