"Remember moments like this" pour 2Crafty

Hello 2Crafty fans!

This week for my layout reveal I had the inspiration to create something that would push me outside my usual comfort zone. I wanted to create something that would have a vintage feel while still providing a nice freshness touch. 

I am sometimes not fully satisfied by my purely "vintage" layouts, but I'm quite pleased with the balance I struck here.

"Remember moments like this"

On the "Poppy's Ornate Frame", I used metallic teal embossing ink and then applied black ink on the contour.

For the "Starlink Panel" in the background, I started by cutting it to give it a rounder shape and give the impression that the stars are detached from eachother. Then I applied a pink embossing enamel powder.

On the "Brook's Swirls", I first applied pink ink and then followed by dabbing a copper embossing ink on top. Finally I applied a diluted silver glaze on top and traced the contour with black ink.

For the title, "Remember moments like this", I applied two coats of black embossing powder and some teal metallic embossing ink.

"Be yourself" pour 2Crafty

 Hello 2Crafty friends,

Warm weather is finally here in Canada and we can finally enjoy outside activities again! Last summer, my son Liam discovered himself a taste for skateboarding. He has been longing for the moment where he'd be able to jump back on his board for a few months and this moment has finally arrived.

I took this picture and had an inspiration to create a layout that would capture the almost-but-not-yet-pre-teen attitude of my 10 years old boy.

"Be yourself"

I did a lot of work on the "Frame Star with Stars": I started by inking it with blue ink. Then on the center star, I applied diluted navy paint. On the side stars, I applied a white and blue embossing enamel.

On the "Retro panel", behind the picture, I used silver embossing powder and applied black embossing ink on top of it. Then I traced the border with black ink.

For the "Light bulb word set", I applied red embossing ink and put a silver glaze on top of it.

On the "Star Bubble set", I applied red embossing ink then dabbed white embossing ink on top. Finally, I've applied a silver glaze.

For the title, "Be yourself", I used a silver wax and traced the border with black ink.

"Memory of you" pour 2Crafty

Hello 2Crafty friends!

As I was doing some spring cleaning in my photo collection, I stumbled upon one of the very few pictures of my daughter Mila when she was a baby (being the second baby, she didn't have half as many pictures taken as her big brother did!). My heart melted and I knew I had to do a nice layout for this picture. So I assembled a nice bouquet of colors and chipboards and let my inspiration go wild. I really like the result.

"Memory of you"

Starting with the "Carrie's Border", I used black ink with a rosegold wax on top. 

On the "Sharon's Butterflies", I've applied cherry-pink ink and then applied some copper metallic embossing ink on top.

On the nice "Rose Set", I've applied some gold embossing powder.

With the title, "Memory of you", I applied 2 coats of black embossing powder and then dabbed some metallic embossing ink on top.

Hello 2Crafty fans!

Happy April everyone! I'm back for my first post of the month with a new layout to reveal. This time around, it features my husband as we were playing in the snow a few weeks ago, after the last snowstorm of the winter.

I inked the "Fernlike Snowflakes" with teal ink and then applied white enamel powder towards the center. Then, for the "Steam Punk Strips", I've roughly applied blue embossing powder to let the natural cardboard colors show through in a few spots.

  

On the "Sybills Name Plates", I applied white diluted paint so it would not be completely opaque.

For the title, "Cherish your yesterdays", I applied 2 coats of teal embossing powder.
