Tranquil moments for 2crafty

Hello 2Crafty fans!

Today I'd like to share a layout I made as a guest designer for CSI: Color, Stories, Inspiration for their Case No. 300 challenge! 

For this challenge, I was really inspired by the monochromatic background and punchy accent colors, and I had the perfect chipboards to achieve a stunning effect!

"Tranquil Moments"

On the "Decorative disc set in the back, I applied black paint and then dabbed some pink metallic embossing ink. For the "Frangy" just on top of it, I use honey colored ink, then added some orange embossing ink on top, dabbed some pink embossing ink and finally traced the borders with black ink.

On the "6 Dotted Heart Circle Frame", I applied green embossing ink.

 For the "12" Border Delicate Lace" right behind it, I used pink embossing enamel.

For the title text, "Word Tranquil Moments", I used black sand-effect embossing powder.

"Fun in the Sun" pour 2Crafty et CSI

Hello 2Crafty fans!

This week I would like to show you a layout I recently made as a Guest Detective for CSI, accepting the challenge for their "Case file no. 286". Here the theme looked like good summer fun and this was perfectly fitting as we're just starting summer here up north!

Fun in the Sun

For the "Pointy Flower", I applied pink ink and then traced the border with black ink.

On the title, "Fun in the Sun", I applied gray pearl metalic paint and traced the border with black ink.

On the negative of the "Pretty Flowers", I applied honey-colored ink and then stamped an hawaiian leaves pattern with black embossing ink. For the "Fern Leaf set" at the back, I applied 2 coats of teal-green embossing powder to make them all nice and shiny.

Crazy About You pour 2Crafty

Hello 2Crafty fans!

Today I would also like to reveal the layout I made as a guest designer for the CSI Case File No.273 to celebrate Valentine's Day. The real challenge for me was to give a modern twist to Valentine's Day.

Here are the guidelines that were proposed for the challenge. You can also participate and try to solve this case too! Try to find inspiration in background details like feathers, frames, or flowers. Chipboards are perfect for this, where they can add amazing touches to your creations and allow your pictures to really stand out.

I left the "Frame Flourish 2" to its natural chipboard color. On the "Pretty Dandelions", I used 2 layers of teal embossing powder to give it more depth.

On the "Tiny feathers", I applied blue-gold irridescent paint and inked the border with black ink.

I applied an aged rose embossing enamel on the title, "Crazy About You".

This month, I was a guest designer on the CSI Colors Stories Inspiration for Case #268! When I saw the challenge I knew exactly which pictures and materials would fit perfectly, as my inspiration for this layout had been brewing ever since my husband and I took these pictures. I just needed the perfect excuse to go in "full holidays mode"! I really love Christmas time (and reindeers) and a few weeks ago I found this amazing reindeer onesies PJ that can be worn as a costume so it was a match made in heaven.

For this challenge, I chose to integrate "Christmas/Holiday Elements", "Plaid", "Frames", "Deer", "Lightbulbs" and "Poinsettias" elements on a "Wood Background". I really like the result. The dark wood background brings some warmth to the layout while allowing the chipboard items to really stand out.

For the title, "Remember moments like this", I used black embossing powder.

On the "Christmas Light Strands", I applied red embossing ink and then gold embossing ink on top. For the "Foliage set 4", I used green embossing ink and then applied diluted teal metallic paint on top.

On the "Christmas frame", I applied white-gold embossing enamel.
